WHAT YOU NEED:

- Vinyl Decal Design - or make your own with a Cricut, or alternative cutting machine. I used Ritrama Permanent Vinyl
- Transfer tape/paper (Comes in rolls on Amazon but most sellers include it with all of their designs)
- Mirror (I got mine from B&M in the UK, but try Etsy for similar ones)

STEP ONE:

The first thing you need to do is to get rid of the excess vinyl around the outside of the design if you haven't already. Don't forget the middles of the letters too, whilst also not taking any i dots or full stops with you at the same time.

STEP TWO:

Now you need to place the transfer paper over your design.

Smooth it down using a plastic store card or vinyl applicator if you have one, getting rid of any bumps or air bubbles.

(Don't do this on top of the mirror like I did though, this was just for display purposes!)

STEP THREE:

Once you're happy that the transfer tape is stuck to your design, turn it over and peel off the backing paper. If it's lifting the letters with it, turn it over and smooth down the transfer paper again, repeating until you're just left with the vinyl and the transfer paper stuck together.

STEP FOUR:

Place your design where you would like it to go, and press down in the middle of the design, smoothing the design outwards and pressing down on each of the letters as you go. Make sure you don't stick it down until you have it exactly where you want it however... once it's stuck, it is a pain to get off!

Once that is stuck down, use your plastic store card/vinyl applicator again to push the letters down gently on the mirror. Don't push too vigorously incase your mirror is prone to scratching easily, just enough so that the letters are stuck down on to the glass... it shouldn't need too much going over, they do tend to stick really well to mirrors.

STEP FIVE:

The final step... peel the transfer paper off, making sure that none of the design peels up with it. If any letters have little bumps, then give them a little bit more of a smoothing over, but otherwise, you're good to go. Just remember not to clean it with anything abrasive!

And you have your very own wedding welcome mirror sign... but you can also use mirrors for seating plans, cocktail menus, table numbers, anything you want to use a sign for basically!
