1. Pumpkins!
Of course one of the best things about Fall is that it's pumpkin season! Use small spraypainted pumpkins as centerpieces, place names, write on them instead of signs or get an awesome carved one like the picture below from purpleinkgraphics
Or, you could even do a pumpkin head photoshoot, using smoke bombs for an extra spooky effect! Shutterbomb, who sell the most amazing selection of smoke bombs, have even more ideas and inspiration for pumpkin head photoshoots in their post below…

2. Deep reds and oranges
Why wouldn't you want to make the most of the gorgeous colors of the season? Choose burgundy bridesmaid dresses, orange flowers in your bouquet or add lots of dark red accents to your decor. Even if it is just a pop of one of these colours it will make your big day feel more autumnal.
3. Rustic Touches
Fall is the perfect time for a woodland-themed wedding, and there are so many things you can do with some reclaimed wood - think place names and centerpieces, DIY signs, creative guest books, branches to hang photos and fairy lights off and more. Or maybe just host your wedding in a woodland setting and the theme will create itself.
4. Leaves
There is nothing more reminiscent of fall than fallen leaves! Use them as confetti like these gorgeous ones from ThisPaperGarden or spray paint some and use them as gorgeous gilded place names.
5. Get a bit spooky
If you're a fan of Halloween and you're having an October wedding then why not go all out! Have themed tables, spooky games, creepy invitations, witche’s potion favors, scary skeleton signs - there are so many ways to add a bit of black magic to your big day and they’re certain to make it extra unique.
6. Fall flavor favors
They may not admit it, but most people love a bit of pumpkin spice so candles, cookies or coffee mixes would all be great ideas for this season. And even better, these are all easy things to make at home if you are on a budget and want to DIY lots of your wedding details.
7. Foraged Centerpieces
On just one woodland walk you can find pine cones, berries, acorns and all different shades of leaves - collect as many as you need and add them to jars or glasses for the perfect (and cheapest!) centerpieces. Just make sure to dry out leaves, and shake off any little bugs before you display them!
8. Plan for the weather
If you're planning a Fall wedding then I'm sure you have already thought about the weather, but why not incorporate it into your decor too? Get a box and fill it with some adorable umbrellas that can be used for photo props…
Or set up a cosy corner at your venue with some blankets for guests to snuggle under. Get our printable blanket sign here so they know where to go…
9. Seasonal food
Talk to local produce suppliers and caterers and ask what is in season around the time of your wedding and no doubt there will be some gorgeous colors and flavors that you can use for a menu to impress all of your guests.
