1. Quote

Our favourite backdrop idea here at the DIYBB is using your favourite quote or wording as the perfect compliment to your love as you say your vows. This amazing one below from modocreative is song lyrics written out beautifully on a white scroll but you could use a shorter quote and/or make your own.

2. Flower Wall

Whether you're using fresh flowers or paper flowers, a floral wall is a showstopper! It will also add a gorgeous pop of colour to your ceremony, and the photos will look amazing.

3. Fairy Lights

Fairy lights make everything a little bit more magical! Especially if you're having an evening ceremony or a fantasy theme. Make sure to buy hanging lights so that they drop like the blow.

4. Copper Frame

If you're having metallics in your wedding, then a copper frame is a must! You can make your own if you or someone you know is a bit handy - or buy a pre-made frame like this one from Sidandolive below, and then decorate with greenery. Match those to copper centrepieces and you're winning!

5. Hanging flowers

This is THE cutest way to use flowers in your ceremony! Use a frame, a wall or just a branch like this gorgeous one below from ElizabethandDaniel

6. Giant Wreath

Giant floral wreaths are a huge trend for boho weddings, and they have been done in so many unique and beautiful ways. They are such an amazing way to signify your everlasting love (too cheesy?!). It's probably not the easiest to DIY - but you could always try to make a smaller version!

7. Macrame

Macrame is a rising wedding trend, and you can see why! These gorgeous boho style hangings make the most amazing backdrop.

8. Wood

Whether it's left over pallets, an old door, stacked crates - if you can find some wood that is large enough to stand up behind you as you say your vows, then decorate it for the perfect rustic touch!

If you're having a fun and colourful wedding then ribbons are a must! And they're such a simple and easy way to create an unforgettable ceremony.

10. Curtain
