1. Scratchcard
Imagine a free scratch card that lets you win every time! Well you can give the gift of being your bridesmaid to your besties with a scratch off bridesmaid proposal card. Either go DIY and make your own using a mixture of dish soap and acrylic paint (we have a tutorial here) or get them pre-made like the ones below from Firefly Paper Studio on Etsy.
2. Balloon pop
Another fun way to surprise your bridesmaid-to-be is to give them a balloon and a pin to reveal a message inside. Again, this is a really easy DIY way to pop the question (sorry, I had to!)... just roll up a message and add it in there with some confetti, blow up the balloon and attach it to a tag or box.
3. Message in a bottle
Especially relevant if you're having a beach wedding or nautical theme. It is how my bestie asked me to be her bridesmaid and I loved it, it was so cute! Get some little bottles from amazon, fill it with a roll of paper with your message in and watch the amazement on their faces as they open it like it's a bit of treasure. You could also add some sand in if you live near a beach, or attach some little charms like these ones below from BeautySpot on Etsy.
4. Personalised/Humorous Card
Either as a compliment to another gift, or just on it's own, a personalised card with an injection of something you both love or your sense of humour is always well received. Design your own with some inspiration from Pinterest, or take a look at Etsy for some of the pre-made and ready to buy ones on there. This one below from frogandpencil is so accurate!

5. Jewellery
If you want to give your bridesmaids something that they can treasure forever, then jewellery is definitely a great choice, whether it's a necklace, bracelet or earrings. Match it to your wedding colours and display it with a box or card asking the all important question like this one below.
6. Personalised glass
If you're planning on toasting the occasion and celebrating with some bubbly, then personalised glasses are a perfect way to ask the question. Love Life Lettering sell custom glass stickers on their Etsy store here in a range of different colours, and for different glass sizes.
7. Hangers
If you want something that can double up and be used on your big day, then personalised hangers for the bridesmaid dresses is a great idea. Add a little tag with the question on there and you're set. They also make amazing photo props for the morning of the wedding, so double the value!
8. Hair Ties
If you like to give practical gifts, then something like a hair tie is a cute way to ask the question. Make your own cards and find some cute hair ties to tie around them, or buy them pre-made like these ones below from LoveMiaCo on Etsy.
9. Gift Box/Survival box
Can't decide on just one thing? Give a gift box with a selection of personalised gifts like a glass and mini bottle of bubbly, or a survival box with everything they might need on the big day like the hair ties. Personalise your boxes our custom decals too.
10. Treat them to a day out/brunch
If you're not into the whole gift giving thing, but still want to treat your besties to something, then perhaps take them out for drinks, brunch, a spa day... something to show how much they mean to you, and to make asking the question even more special.
