How To Apply a Vinyl Gift Box Sticker

In association with Love Life Lettering

A lovely way to treat your bridal party is to give each one a personalised gift box on the morning of the wedding, and it couldn't be more simple to do using custom vinyl stickers. This would also be perfect for bachelorette parties and hampers for the bride and groom.

WHAT YOU NEED:

A personalised name Vinyl decal (shop Love Life Lettering's selection here) - I used Ritrama Permanent Vinyl
Transfer tape/paper (Comes in rolls on Amazon but LLL include it with all of their designs)
Smooth Surface Box or Gift Bag (try MidPac for an amazing selection if you're in the UK)

STEP ONE:

Unless it has already been done, get rid of the excess vinyl around and in between the letters that you don't need.

STEP TWO:

Place the transfer tape over your name, trying to get it as straight as possible. Then, using a store card or vinyl applicator, press down on the letters, making sure the transfer tape is stuck down without any air bubbles or bumps.

STEP THREE:

Now you can peel the backing off the vinyl sticker. Do this very slowly so that any letters that don't stick to the transfer paper can be pressed back down. Now place your sticker on to the box. If you want to be more precise, measure it out and place some masking or washi tape where you want your letters to go.

STEP FOUR:

Use your store card/applicator again to push down the letters and get rid of any bumps or bubbles and then once you're happy that the vinyl is stuck down completely, you can peel the transfer tape off. Do this very slowly and if any letters try and peel off with the tape you can stick them back down on the box.

And that's it done. Try different colour combinations to match your wedding colours, or sticking it to a large gift bag instead depending on your present.
