The 10 Best Gifts for your Groom

To get us all in the Christmas spirit, I am doing a series of gift guide posts. The first is focused on your SO!

If you want to spoil your Groom on your big day, then consider getting him a little something to show how special he is to you. Give it to his best man so he can present it on the morning of the wedding.

Check out our other gift guides for Bridesmaids, Father of the Groom/Bride and Mother of the Bride/Groom too

1. Wedding day survival kit

This one is great because you can DIY to make it as personal as you like, or buy it already made.

There are lots of printables on Etsy like this one below by EventswithGrace that will give you some good ideas on what to include.

You can add a miniature bottle of his favourite alcohol, some mints to make sure the big kiss is a pleasant one and you can add a personal note in there to remind him how much you love him on the morning of the wedding.

2. Personalised socks and underwear

Make your own label to wrap them up with, or get some underwear and socks printed with personalised names on them as a funny gift that will be a great addition to your photographs on the big day.

These ones above are from The Personal Wedding Co, but there are also lots of designs with other sayings, such as 'In case you get cold feet'

3. A bottle of his favourite

If he has a certain drink he likes then buy a bottle and make or purchase a customised label. This one below is from BootleLabel

You could also make it a bottle of something you are serving at your wedding, as a reminder of your special day every time he takes a drink.

4. Art Print

For something you can both keep, have a look at art prints and framed quotes and see if there is anything that matches your HTB's interests. You can find lots of printable digital art online for a thoughtful but budget option, or look for a one of a kind print for something extra special.

This 'All you need is love' print is the perfect gift for a Beatles fan, but also tasteful enough to hang anywhere in the house.

5. A journal

If your man likes making lists, likes to write or uses a lot of notebooks in his day to day life then a good quality hand crafted journal is an ideal gift.

Get it personalised for an extra touch of class like this gorgeous one from ForestNine

6. Cufflinks

They can be a bit of a boring gift any other time of the year unless your man wears lots of suits, but on your wedding day, they are actually pretty handy. Just make sure your mister's shirt has holes for cufflinks, and that he hasn't already bought any himself!

Get them personalised for an extra little touch, which will also look so cute on your photographs.

7. Book him an experience

If you're already expecting a tonne of phyiscal gifts on your wedding day, then an experience may stand out as something just a little bit more special.

If he loves cars then get him a supercar experience. If he is a bit of a daredevil then get him a bungee jump. If he is a foodie then there are always lots of cooking classes on offer locally.

8. A customised jersey

(This one was my husband's idea!)

If he's a big sports fan get him a personalised jersey of his favourite team, or get matching mr and mrs jerseys that you can wear on your honeymoon and for all future games to come.

9. A breakfast hamper

Unless he's at a hotel or at his mum's then take the extra stress of eating off his mind by getting a breakfast hamper delivered on the morning of the wedding. Put all of his favourite things in it, and make sure there is lots to go around so the groomsmen don't go hungry either.

10. A watch

And if none of those ideas do it for you, then go with the old faithful - a classic watch! There isn't anything more sophisticated and classy than a good quality watch.

Get a personalised box or engrave a message on the underside of the watch face for an extra special touch.

Of course, a lot of these gifts can be given year round to a groom-to-be or husband so save this post for future when you might be stuck for Christmas presents or birthday gift ideas too.
